Key Account Manager

Position Overview:

The Key Account Manager is responsible for driving sales growth, building strong customer relationships, and strategically identifying opportunities for expansion within an assigned region. This role involves collaborating with internal teams to ensure exceptional service levels and sustained profitability while using data-driven insights to manage accounts effectively.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Identify new and potential partnerships and strategically assess new business opportunities to drive portfolio expansion.


  • Maintain strong and ongoing relationships with all key customers through regular face-to-face meetings, phone conversations, and consistent follow-up.


  • Grow sales by expanding the product portfolio and acquiring new customers in the assigned territory.


  • Act proactively to resolve customer issues, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and trust.


  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams including marketing, operations, and supply chain to deliver high service standards and profitable growth.


  • Utilize technology, sales data, and business analysis to support strategic decisions and foster a value-added customer network.


  • Review and monitor key performance indicators such as revenue, case volume, customer activity, pricing, and placements to evaluate risks and opportunities.


  • Exercise prudent expense management in alignment with performance and company guidelines.


  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.



    Job Requirements:



    • Bachelor's Degree or higher education in Business, Marketing, or a related field.


    • 5+ years of experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry.


    • Proven ability to manage distributor relationships and navigate ethnic market segments is a strong plus.


    • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.


    • Results-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.


    • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.
